Focus
From the technology perspective, DOCOMO Capital focuses
on advanced mobile communication related technologies, especially
on software applications and devices that can be applied
to mobile handsets as well as software applications for mobile networks.
Presently, we are more interested in technologies that are
able to add new features / services on mobile handsets or
mobile network than in such technologies that improve existing
features / services. In general, we would like to see a working
prototype or a proof of principle of a technology prior to
involvement. Our investment focus is on venture backed start-ups
in the middle or later stages of their product development
stages.
